The Setup

This project is a challenge for me to develop a consistent experience for both desktop and mobile platforms. The goal is a stable frame rate, feature parity and little to no compromises in terms of gameplay.

Status so far

I was originally planning on using Unity for this project, as I didn’t want to lose my knowledge base for it. However, certain features were more difficult to implement than I thought, so I made the decision to transition and start over in Unreal Engine.

 

Where to go from here?

I’m planning on having a vertical slice available by the Fall, with at least 5 levels, all of the core mechanics implemented and 3 different enemy types included.

The Future

I am thinking about included this game in my Aragon universe of content as it’s a sci-fi game. As time goes on, more plot details will come along as well.
